Interactive Holographic Display for Kappa at ADNEC

Kappa came to Power Interactive with a bold ambition: to introduce their services at Abu Dhabi Exhibitions Centre in a way that no one in the hall had seen before. The answer was a Looking Glass holographic display enhanced with sensor-based interactivity that presented Kappa's work in a breathtaking three-dimensional format, allowing visitors to interact with the content through gesture and motion, without touching a screen.

Kappa needed to stand out at Abu Dhabi Exhibitions Centre not just attract visitors to their stand, but genuinely captivate them and leave a lasting impression of the brand's commitment to innovation. In an exhibition environment crowded with flat screens, printed graphics, and standard digital displays, the challenge was to create something that would stop people in their tracks and make them want to engage not just observe.

The solution needed to do two things simultaneously: showcase Kappa's services in a visually compelling and informative way, and do so through a format that was itself a demonstration of ingenuity. The technology had to be the message. Power Interactive's answer was a Looking Glass holographic display a glasses-free 3D display technology enhanced with sensor-based interactivity to allow visitors to navigate and explore Kappa's content through natural hand gestures, transforming passive viewers into active participants.

“We didn’t want a stand. We wanted a statement. Power Interactive gave us something that made people stop, reach out, and ask ‘how does this work?’ and that’s exactly the conversation we wanted to start.”

How We Made Kappa's Services Tangible in Three Dimensions

Looking Glass Holographic Display

Power Interactive procured and deployed a Looking Glass holographic display a glasses-free 3D display technology that presents content in a breathtaking three-dimensional format visible to multiple viewers simultaneously, without the need for headsets or special eyewear. Kappa's services were presented as immersive 3D content, floating visibly within the display volume.

Sensor-Based Gesture Interactivity

The Looking Glass display was enhanced with sensor-based interactivity allowing exhibition visitors to navigate and explore Kappa's 3D content through natural hand gestures, without touching a screen. The sensor layer detected hand position and movement in real time, translating visitor gestures into content navigation commands and creating a genuinely immersive, hands-free interactive experience.
