3D Animation and CGI for Exhibitions, Experience Centres and Immersive Screens

Photoreal and stylised 3D animation for the things that are hard or impossible to film: unbuilt developments, the inside of products, natural processes, historical scenes and complex data. Every render is produced at the resolution, frame rate and shape of the display it will play on.

What is 3D animation and CGI?

3D animation and CGI (computer-generated imagery) is the creation of moving images from modelled, textured, lit and rendered 3D scenes. It shows what a camera cannot capture: a master plan that does not exist yet, the inside of a machine, a molecule, a coral reef recovering or a city a century ago.

‍

For immersive spaces, 3D is also the foundation of most advanced content formats. Anamorphic billboards, fulldome shows, holographic displays and real-time interactive scenes all start as 3D. That is why we produce 3D for the final canvas from the first frame, with the camera, scale and resolution set by the display rather than by a standard film.

‍

Choose motion graphics when the message is data or a process that must read quickly. Choose 3D when the subject is physical and cannot easily be filmed. Many of our projects use both. See our 3D holographic display concept for one way 3D content is shown.

‍

How we produce 3D animation and CGI

  1. Brief and reference: Gather drawings, CAD, photographs and data so the 3D is accurate.
  2. Storyboard and animatic: Plan camera moves and pacing for the display, then approve a rough animatic.
  3. Model, texture and light: Build the scene at the detail the viewing distance needs.
  4. Animate and render: Render at the display's resolution, frame rate and format, or build for real-time.
  5. Composite and deliver: Add motion graphics, sound and Arabic and English text, then test on the real screen.

‍

What we have learned producing 3D animation and CGI

We produce 3D for exhibitions, sales centres and permanent experience centres, always for a specific display. A few examples:

‍

‍

What we have learned: 3D earns its cost when the subject cannot be filmed. When the message is data or a process, motion graphics are usually faster, clearer and cheaper, and we will recommend them. We keep master files organised so models can be re-rendered for new screens later.

Key Features

Architectural Visualisation

Unbuilt developments and master plans shown at human scale, with day, night and seasons.

Product & Technical Animation

Cutaways and exploded views that show how a product or system works inside.

Process & Scientific Animation

Natural, medical and industrial processes made clear and accurate.

Character & Story Animation

Stylised characters and worlds for family, education and brand storytelling.

CGI for Anamorphic & Dome

3D scenes built from the real camera position of a billboard or dome.

Real-Time 3D

Engine-based 3D that visitors can rotate, explore and trigger live.

Where 3D animation and CGI is used

Wherever the subject is physical but cannot be filmed:

Real estate & master plans

Sales and experience centres showing developments before they are built.

Energy & industry

Facilities, equipment and processes explained to visitors and trainees.

Healthcare & science

3D anatomy and medical models for exhibitions and education.

Government & national projects

Vision, strategy and infrastructure stories for delegations.

Museums & heritage

Historical scenes and reconstructions for permanent galleries.

Brand launches

Hero product animation for LED walls, stages and anamorphic screens.

Screens, formats and deliverables

Rendered for the canvas, from flat LED to fisheye dome.

Why trust this page

Written from projects we delivered, not from brochures

Every example on this page is an installation our own team designed, produced and installed. Here is what stands behind it.

800+projects delivered

✓Experience

Everything above comes from projects we designed, produced and installed ourselves, not from manufacturer brochures. Power Interactive has delivered more than 800 projects since 2018 across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the GCC, a milestone featured in Khaleej Times in September 2026, for clients including Atlantis The Royal, Visa Arabia, PwC Middle East, Al Jalila Foundation, Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and Emaar.

◎Transparency

Client names appear only where the project is already public in our case studies. We do not publish fixed prices or timelines here, because both depend on your screen, space and content; we give ranges after a survey, in writing. We describe our content as professional production, and we will tell you when a simpler or smaller solution is the better answer.

800 gives us a lot of perspective on what makes an experience actually work.

Should I choose motion graphics or 3D animation?

Motion graphics suit messages, data and processes that need to read quickly. 3D animation suits physical things that cannot easily be filmed, such as unbuilt developments or the inside of a product. Many projects combine both.

What do you need from us to start 3D animation?

Drawings, CAD or BIM files, photographs, brand guidelines and the key messages. For accuracy, technical subjects benefit from a short review with your engineers or specialists at storyboard stage.

Can 3D animation be used on LED walls, domes and holographic displays?

Yes. The same 3D scene can be rendered for different canvases, but each output is set up for its display: native pixel maps for LED, fisheye cameras for domes and depth-ready renders for holographic displays.

What is real-time 3D?

Real-time 3D is built in a game engine so it renders live rather than as a fixed video. Visitors can rotate models, trigger scenes or change views, which makes it ideal for touchscreens, tables and interactive walls.

How long does 3D animation take?

It depends on length, detail and the number of outputs. Modelling and rendering are the longest stages, so 3D should be planned early, with an approved storyboard before production starts.

Can 3D content be reused later?

Yes. We keep organised master files, so models and scenes can be re-rendered for new screens, events or updates at a lower cost than starting again.

Need to show something that cannot be filmed?

Share the subject, the screen and the audience. We will plan 3D that is accurate, clear and built for the display.
