360° Curved LED and Synchronised Floor Projection Immersive Experience

A premium immersive experience was produced for the Zayed Sustainability Prize at Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, built across two synchronised display technologies: a fully immersive 360° curved LED screen wrapping the viewer, and a floor projection running beneath them in continuous sync. We delivered the complete immersive content production, covering creative direction, storyboarding, motion graphics, animation, and multi-surface content adaptation, with every sequence composited twice, once for the curvature of the LED and once for the overhead perspective of the floor, so the two surfaces resolve as a single continuous environment rather than two separate displays.

TECHNOLOGY
360° Curved LED + Synchronised Floor Projection

The Zayed Sustainability Prize measures its work in numbers that are genuinely difficult to hold in your head: beneficiaries reached across continents, sustainability initiatives funded, humanitarian impact delivered over more than a decade. Presented as figures on a panel, that scale flattens into abstraction. The brief was to create a premium immersive experience for VIPs, government delegations, and visitors at Masdar City that would communicate the Prize's global impact in a way people would remember, and feel.

The technical challenge was the canvas. A 360° curved LED screen and a floor projection are two fundamentally different display technologies with two different viewing geometries: the LED wraps the viewer at eye level and demands content composited to its curvature, while floor projection is read from directly above and requires an entirely separate perspective treatment. The narrative had to work natively on both at once, in frame-accurate synchronisation, because any drift between the surfaces breaks the illusion of a single environment instantly. This is multi-surface content adaptation at its most unforgiving, and it had to carry the Prize's impact statistics with the clarity a client of this standing requires.

"A number on a wall is information. The same number arriving around you on curved LED and underneath you on the floor, at the moment the story has earned it, is something people carry out of the room. Closing that gap is the entire job."

— Creative Director, Zayed Sustainability Prize Immersive Experience

One Narrative, Composited Natively for Two Synchronised Display Technologies

Creative Direction & Immersive Storyboarding

Creative direction and storyboarding shaped the Prize's achievements, global reach, and impact figures into a narrative with a deliberate emotional arc rather than a sequence of facts. Every beat was storyboarded against both display surfaces from the outset, so the story was designed for the geometry of the room rather than adapted to it after the fact.

Immersive Motion Graphics & Animation

The narrative was produced through bespoke motion graphics and animation created specifically for immersive scale. Client-supplied impact statistics covering global beneficiaries, sustainability initiatives, and humanitarian reach were animated into the story so each figure lands as a narrative moment, using immersive data visualisation rather than static infographic treatment.

Multi-Surface Content Adaptation

Every sequence was composited twice: mapped to the curvature of the 360° LED screen so geometry and perspective read correctly at eye level, and re-composited for the floor projection where the viewer looks down rather than across. Motion was designed to carry from wall to floor, making the two display technologies read as one continuous immersive environment.

Multi-Display Playback Synchronisation

All content was optimised for synchronised multi-display playback across the curved LED and floor projection, holding frame-accurate timing between the two surfaces throughout every sequence. We coordinated technically through installation and provided on-site support, verifying the experience ran cleanly for VIP and delegation visits.

Services Delivered

Creative Direction & Experience Design

Overall creative direction and immersive experience design, defining the visual language, narrative structure, and how the story resolves across curved LED and floor projection as a single environment.

Immersive Storytelling & Storyboarding

Narrative development from the Prize's achievements, global reach, and impact figures, storyboarded frame by frame against both the 360° curved LED and the floor projection surface.

Motion Graphics & Animation

Production of all bespoke immersive motion graphics and animation, including the animated data visualisation treatment of client-supplied impact statistics and milestone figures.

Immersive Content Production & Multi-Surface Adaptation

Full immersive content production, with every sequence composited separately for LED curvature and floor projection perspective, then matched for continuous motion across both surfaces.

Playback Optimisation & Technical Coordination

Optimisation of all content for synchronised multi-display playback, technical coordination through installation, and on-site support verifying clean operation for VIP and delegation visits.

Six Immersive Display and Content Technologies Behind the Experience

360° Curved LED Display

A fully immersive curved LED screen wrapping the viewer's field of vision. Unlike a flat LED wall, curved LED requires all content to be composited to the screen's radius, so that perspective, geometry, and motion read correctly from the viewing position instead of appearing stretched at the edges.

Synchronised Floor Projection

A second projected content surface beneath the viewer, running in frame-accurate synchronisation with the curved LED. Floor projection is read from overhead, which means composition, scale, and motion direction must be treated entirely separately from eye-level content to feel correct underfoot.

Multi-Surface Content Adaptation

The discipline of producing one narrative natively for multiple display geometries at once. Each sequence is composited independently for the LED curvature and the floor perspective, then matched so motion carries continuously across both surfaces without a visible break.

Immersive Motion Graphics & Animation

Motion graphics and animation designed for immersive scale rather than screen scale, where composition must account for a canvas that surrounds the viewer, peripheral movement carries as much weight as centre frame, and pacing is slower than broadcast to remain readable.

Immersive Data Visualisation

Animated treatment of client impact statistics built into the narrative structure, so figures covering global beneficiaries, sustainability initiatives, and humanitarian impact arrive as story moments at immersive scale rather than as static charts or infographic panels.

Multi-Display Content Playback

All content mastered and optimised for synchronised playback across both display surfaces, maintaining consistent colour, quality, and frame-accurate timing across every session throughout the visitor and delegation programme.

The installation became a key attraction within the visitor experience at Masdar City, presenting the Zayed Sustainability Prize's achievements in a format that held the attention of VIPs, government delegations, and visitors alike. By combining a 360° curved LED canvas with synchronised floor projection and animating the Prize's key impact figures into the narrative, the experience transformed complex sustainability data into an emotional story, and reinforced the global reach of the Prize far more effectively than any presentation of the same statistics could have.

The project demonstrates the capability that determines whether an immersive installation succeeds or underperforms: multi-surface content production engineered natively for each display geometry. Curved LED and floor projection are only as good as the content composited for them. The screens make the environment possible; the creative direction, immersive motion graphics, and surface-specific compositing are what make people remember being inside it.
