For the Festival of Health in Abu Dhabi, Power Interactive partnered with Viola Communications to deliver a 14-metre immersive projection dome for Sakina — a fully enveloping wellness environment where visitors could step away from the noise of the event and into a guided meditation and mindfulness experience powered by spatial audio, calming nature-inspired visuals, and immersive storytelling.
The Festival of Health is a high-energy public event — a busy, stimulating environment that is by nature the opposite of calm. The challenge for Sakina was to create a genuinely restorative wellness experience within that context: a space that could transport visitors out of the festival atmosphere and into a state of genuine relaxation and mindful reflection, using technology as the medium rather than the distraction. The installation needed to feel authentic to Sakina's wellness philosophy while also being technically ambitious enough to make a lasting impression.
Delivering a 14-metre immersive projection dome in a live event environment presented significant technical challenges — from multi-projector calibration and seamless edge-blending to spatial audio integration and the creation of immersive visual content that was genuinely calming rather than overwhelming. Every element of the experience had to work in perfect harmony to create the intended emotional effect.
